Born in 1969, Rockwell grew up in snowy Michigan winters until relocating to southern California to pursue a BFA in Ceramics from California State University, Long Beach. Exhibiting provocative, autobiographical work since 1995, Rockwell furthered her intimate investigations of ephemeral materials while receiving an MFA in Ceramics in 2001 from the University of Washington in Seattle, where she continues to explore her work. In 2002, Rockwell was appointed Ceramics/Sculpture faculty at Lakeside Upper School in Seattle and continues to exhibit her work and gain recognition.
